But of course, buying locally from markets and such reduces the burning of fossil feuls that it takes to deliver anything to anyone (unless it's being delivered on a bike)!

Another direct-from-the-grower supplier is www.freshroses.com. They are in CA, and if not fully organic, do use integrated pest control (www.freshroses.com/politics.html#environment). I ordered some of my wedding flowers from them and they were incredibly helpful. The flowers were so fresh they lasted for over two weeks!

i ordered flowers for my mom from organic bouquet... she loved the roses and they lasted over 2 weeks! i placed the order online, but needed to clarify the address. customer service was great.

I've used them before too and got great flowers in good packaging. The chartreuse roses lasted a long long time, too.

I've used Organic Bouquet to send flowers to my mom twice now, and it's been great. It really doesn't cost much more than any of the other flower delivery services, and it's a better company.
