Summer in a seat. Just taking a look at the New England Chair at the Conran Shop made us giddy. We're awaiting summer and this chair sums up relaxation, outdoors, and days gone by with its twist on the traditional Adirondack form.

This chair's made of painted teakwood, which will last ages. We're sure to just keep looking and not owning, as the cost is $1200. But we're happy sitting pretty in the traditional chair, too.
oh its beautiful. but the ACE adirondack chair is probably more likely to happen for me this year.

I think Laurie's ACE chair is more beautiful than Sir Terence's. Especially in a bold sky blue.
But the whole Adirondack chair thing really demands a well on one arm for my Lillet and soda with nice fat orange slice, and a deep, wide slot on the other side for a book and the newspaper. From a couple of days ago--who needs to stay current on news when you're lounging?

The classic adirondack chair has a lot more curve than either of the linked examples -- they're wonderful from relaxing in!!!
(...though I prefer Campari and soda!!!)

I like the fan back from www.archiesisland.com. It is all-weather and painted with yacht paint. Comes in tons of colors, and 1/3 the price.

There are also the Sheila Bridges chairs...

The fleur de lis back is neat but they're not much cheaper than the Conran ones.
