We saw this television show on PBS once and it was really terrific. They show gathers local foods, brings a local chef to prepare a feast, and serves the meal within the local landscape to the farmers and residents of the area. The episode locations range from California wine country to the Red Hook Community Farm in Brooklyn...

Eating in the landscape is a treat and it's done in every single episode of The Endless Feast. That's why we've gathered photos of past airings of the show for a little outdoor dining inspiration. We love the long tables draped in white cloths, often placed within the very gardens that contributed to the meal's food.

There is also a great company called Outstanding in the Field that does the same thing, except it's not a TV show. Anyone can go and they host around 30 or 40 dinners a year all over the country. Check it out and go! www.outstandinginthefield.com
