Lava Lamp Night Light

Okay, if you've gotta have a lava lamp, just keep it small. This lava lamp night light just might be the solution for couples who spat over getting rid of one or the other's tacky decor...

 
 

This lamp is just like the classic, but tiny. So it can hide out in the bathroom or at the bedside. The motion inside of them always made us kind of sleepy, anyway, so this miniaturized version may be onto something. (Via: Gizmodo)

Actually I think the scale of this makes it even more tchotchke-esque. Since it calls more attention to the outlet in weird way, it seems more like clutter, and less like a bold stroke of a design statement.
