NY Good Questions: Ideas on These Red Poufs?

2.14poufs.jpgHello AT,

I'm hoping someone can help me identify these red pouf/bean-bag/stool things that I saw on the DWR website.

I emailed them and they responded that they are part of a 'private collection' and not something they sell.

They were also mum on who the designer might be.

Any ideas on where to find these, or something similar, would be appreciated!

Thanks! Maritstar

a quick and dirty troll on the internet found these three options:

over at crate and barrel, red faux leather poufs:

from the beanbag superstore, in a range of colors and sizes: http://www.beanbagsuperstore.com/designer-twill-bean-bag-chair-small.html

leather ones can be found here: http://www.blackrockmarket.com/shops/beanbags.html

good luck,

This may not be particularly helpful advice, but red, leather poufs are readily available at flea market in Paris--and I am sure other cities as well. They can be purchased "unstuffed" and would fit into a carry-on for the trip home.

Target also used to carry them but I haven't seen them in years. Too bad, as Targets were $25 :)

thanks for the suggestions... those are all good options!

i thought they looked kind of like something italian 1970's... so i looked up B&B Italia on a hunch. I wonder if they're related to the "Bambole" series from the 70's that's being reissued - http://www.bebitalia.it/collezioni/scheda_prodotto.asp?ID_Prodotto=257&lingua=en

We've got something similar all around our office and they're made by "eazy bean".

Here's the website:

Very high quality for the same price as low quality lights. We were very pleased! Makes the rooms look more elegant. Very Beautiful pendant light, adds class to your home.

I saw that in Ikea once. That bean bags is adorable, but it does need more bean bag filling, which looks easy enough to do, but for the price they really should change the way it is made. Very durable though.
