West Elm's Deep Framed Landscape Mirror

04.24.mirror.jpg

Mirrors work wonders in small spaces. They give the impression of added space, light, and movement. That's why we like this Deep Framed Landscape Mirror from West Elm.

Its mirrored back is set into a 5" deep frame, which can double as a shallow shelf. It's a sneaky way to introduce a mirror into a space: using it as a shelf while enjoying the space-enlarging benefits of the mirror. We like this subtle use of the mirror more than just sticking a standard, flat mirror on the wall.

Availalbe in acorn or chocolate finishes for $159.

I just put in a wall mounted mirrored cabinet similar to this (it also has a sliding mirrored door). I use it as my front door landing zone for keys, wallet, cell phone etc. The door hides most of the "stuff" Not bad for $50

Alas, West Elm no longer sells the mirror in the rather attractive blond wood shown here - which is a pity because it was just what I was looking for!
