More people are staying close to home this year for Memorial Day. The borough's green spaces and community gardens can be a nice break, a mini-vacation, a wonderful momentary escape from cars and buildings. As the season progresses I again am looking forward to visiting places I have enjoyed before - or have yet to discover.
This week I started Google map (above) of a few locations and posts, and hope to add to them in the coming months. Please take a look - and offer up any especially nice locations you have come across in your own explorations of the boroughs.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend,
Matt

Thanks, Elaine!
The Lotus Garden is a place I haven't stmbled upon yet, but will keep it in mind the next time I'm on the UWS. It looks so nice!
