Grapes were festively hung for a child's birthday party at the 6th and B Community Garden like suspended jewels, offering up a floating treat to little hands...

The garden, like all other community gardens in the city, has an interesting history (you can read more on the link provided above) and is home to a controversial and ever-growing sculpture made of street finds.
History and controversy and sculptures aside, the grapes suspended from the arbors was a beautiful touch to the afternoon's party. Although it may not easily work as an indoor idea, it made this outdoor space seem magical.

Wonder if this was left over from Sukkot. This picture looks like nothing so much as a sukkah! Idea for next year that is both Apt. Therapy & Plant Therapy: best designed sukkah.

Not sure what the party was, lots of little kids and presents. At first I thought maybe they had actually harvested the grapes from the nearby vines - I know, a romantic notion - , but pretty sure they were from the store.
I am not a fan of grapes (picky eater), but these were so much fun to look at.
