Seeing the spring cherry blossoms never gets old. But I never get to see them more than once or twice before they are gone for a year. This beautiful time-lapse video comes via the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
Toggle back and forth from the beginning to the middle of the video - dramatic difference!
According to their site:
"This timelapse was created by Dave Allen, BBG's Web Manager, from over 3,000 digital photos, one taken every 3 minutes from April 18 to April 26, 2008, of Brooklyn Botanic Garden's famed Cherry Walk."
Love seeing cherry blossoms in the park, but it was beautiful to see the blossoming all at once on this video. It may still not be too late to enjoy them this weekend.

This is really lovely, thank you for sharing!
It's a dreary, cold, damp day here in NH and this gives me hope that spring will be here soon.

Hey Matt, It's after midnight on Saturday night and I just sat down before going to bed and pushed "play". That is so lovely. Thank you. And a perfect note to end the day on before retiring.
Best, Maxwell
ps. We have a cherry tree outside our window here that is just heavy with blossoms today. it is one of my favorite things to watch each year.

I love taking my kids to the BBG every year. It's so magical to see them walking through the cherry tree with the petals falling down all around them.
I just got a weeping cherry for our deck. It is past it's flower now, but next year it will be wonderful to have a little piece of that magic right here at home.
