Marc Newson's Riga Desk

Lovely Lines. Even though this Riga Desk is extremely expensive, we're drawn to the unique lines and shape that bridge classical elegance and modern motifs. Produced by Cappellini, Marc Newson's two-drawered Riga Desk would work beautifully in an entry or small office nook...

It's beautiful but has practically no storage; it looks like Paris Hilton's purse. In a good way. And in a bad way.

Wow, when you say "extremely" you mean EXTREMELY.

It's a gorgeous thing, though.

I like the colors. It could work as a hall table or sofa table.

i am in love. desk love at it's truest. of course, this desk could only fulfill certain functions or needs, but i can see it working for me as i am currently focusing on downsizing and simplifying my surroundings. gimme a flat surface, a laptop, a legal pad and a pen & i'm good to go. if only love didn't cost so much!

i could totally rock this desk. my desk now only has one drawer (empty except a pack of aa batteries) and one pull out keyboard tray (which i use despite the fact that i generally don't like keyboard trays, it does keep it out of the way). my other desk has no drawers or storage at all. i'm an illustrator and i work with wet and dry media, as well as digital. i have one surface for digital, one surface for analog. all of my papers (printer and art) are stored together, and all of my writing utensils (pencils, pens, graphite sticks, charcoal, sharpies) are also stored together. i have a filebox for documents. no need for so many drawers!
