Though not as upside-down as Tuesday's post from ATSF, the original owners of this house in the Morningside suburb of Edinburgh called their home the Upside-Down House &mdash the architects, James Morris and Robert Steedman, put the sleeping areas in a nearly windowless downstairs and kept the light-filled areas on the second floor for communal living space...

I LOVE the living room, but the bedroom has a scary Darth Vader vibe. (And I'm usually a fan of gothic.)

Am I reading something wrong or is that not a window in the bedroom with light coming through it?

I love the bed, and think it's the old 30s radio that strangely gives the unpleasant "Dark Vador" feel : proves what a few accessories and objets can do!. Otherwise I like the feel of the place. Was afraid of the mention of no windows, but quite obviously that reads "less window space".

I like this house...
...but if I owned it I'd have to install great wide glass doors into the end walls of the 2nd floor and turn the flat roofs of the 1st floor into terraces.
