Recent expoloration of Red Hook led us to Pier Glass, an artisan glass studio and shop at Beard Street Warehouse.
The warehouse itself is worth a trip to the 'hood as it is home to an inspiring variety of small businesses.
The Pier Glass shop offers the handblown designs of artists Kevin Kutch and Mary Ellen Buxton. At the studio, they design and blow thick-walled, multi colored, multiple-bubbled functional glass sculpture like bowls and vases, and decorative perfume bottles.
