funny you should make that comment about your "sale rule" . I have this duvet and pillows in putty sitting in my cart right now and i can't decide whether I should just bite the bullet and order it now or if i should try and hold out for it to potentially go one sale.

I never buy sheets for full-price - and if there's something I like that's discontinued and gone on West Elm, it's likely available on eBay...

Gorgeous, but have you tried West Elm bedding before? I have the faux bois duvet and shams and they did not hold up well at all (pilling).

I have had lots of West Elm bedding and never had an issue with it. Wasn't the faux bois flannel though?

Oh I love this in the putty! But I too have a hard time paying full price for bedding, even if it's still affordable!

I heart Century 21 for bedding.

No aaron, it wasn't flannel, it is a sateen type material. I would acknowledge that it could be my care of it, but it actually started to pill before even being washed!

The bedding for my master bedroom (fern in coral) and guest bedroom (embroidered ethnic white) are from West Elm and over 2 years old. Both are in great shape and look as good as the day I bought them. Washed in warm-cool with Method det. and soft.on the short cycle in a front loading washer once a week. Dried on warm-low. This seems to help in longevity.

Agree West Elm sales are frequent and often have most sizes available, so waiting is a good idea.
