Danish Influence. CB2's new Regis Loveseat reminds us of Design Within Reach's Malena Series and the countless Danish armchairs available second-hand. The clean lines and simple tweed upholstery complete the loveseat's small footprint (just 55'' wide). Perfect for small spaces, the wenge-stained solid oak frame is airy underneath and helps open up a room...

I could only envision these in an office waiting room... they are too stark for my liking.

Yes - they immediately struck me as waiting-room-esque also.

This looks exactly like the loveseat that was standard issue graduate student housing furniture at my university. Sure, it looks nice, but...
You could not squeeze three people across because the middle person would be sitting on the hard wooden bar that supported the two cushions in the middle. For the same reason, you could not lounge or cuddle on it to watch TV; you had to sit ramrod straight. Nor could you nap on it, because the middle bar would dig into your back and the wooden arms were uncomfortable to lean against even with a pillow.
That loveseat was how they broke you. After a while, you didn't mind working late hours in the library anymore, because you knew the Evil Loveseat was waiting for you when you got home.
Ah, memories. Sit on it first.

Yep, it's Cb's version of a straightjacket..

I'd rather get Ikea's version than this, for my waiting room or whatever.
