Back-up Seating. We recently re-arranged our living space to include a designated dining area. While our drop-leaf table comfortably seats six, we only have two chairs. With limited room for the storage of four additional chairs, we like the Olivia Folding Chairs from Design Within Reach for a few reasons...

Has anyone ever actually sat in these. The back looks like it might be slightly uncomfortable?
Not to mention that these FOLDING chairs cost about $75 each. I dunno, for a seating solution for the occasional dining guest, thats an awful lot of money.
I got the Calligaris Skip folding chairs from Jensen- Lewis (click my name for the URL) and love them! They store in my closet and the slight rise in the seat makes them very comfortable.
the price can't be beat??? I like the look of these, but let's not pretend that there are not ikea, target, other alternatives for WELL under $75.
these are still my favorite and they are lucite: http://www.gracioushome.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=177304&langId=-1&categoryId=64006&parent_category_rn=61507&top_category=61507
I just replaced my target folding chairs with these and I LOVE them. They fold up to be really compact (much more so than my target ones), they actually stay folded (unlike my target ones), the wood quality is superior, and they aren't an eyesore hanging behind my kitchen door! I also like the feet - they don't scratch and they keep the chair level on my sloping floors. The quality is in the details, that's important to me when I make an expensive purchase, and these are definitely worth it.
I like them but i have been holding off to buy these chairs I saw in
London. http://www.jakephipps.com/products.html# - then click on
ISIS. They fold effortlessly, totally flat (to under 3cm!) and are
seriously comfortable. Despite appearances the back and seat flexes
to conform to your body - really nice. The only problem is they are
not yet in production - apparently they are being launched in May.
But not that cheap $110 approx - but well worth it i think.
