Miller Studio's Lawn Chair

01.23.miller2.jpg

Ever sitting in a crowd of lawn chairs at the beach or a concert and wish you had a design that set your lawn chair apart from all the rest? Want one that's a little more, uh, posh than the rest? Check out the lawn chair from Miller Studio after the jump...

This Lawn Chair is a little different from the ones we're used to. It's fabricated of sheepskin on a stainless steel frame. Pretty fancy, eh? It would definitely stand out in a crowd.

Neither weather resistant, nor animal friendly.

It will stand out even more when it gets wet and the smell of wet animal fur is emanating through the crowd.

Can design ever go to far?

Archie, yes it can. This is ridiculous, and clearly designed by someone who has never spent time at a beach or outdoor event. Imagine getting out of the ocean and then parking your wet-swimsuited rear on that. Nylon and aluminum are the preferred beach chair materials for a reason. Eew.

I think it's fairly obvious to most people that using this at the beach or in bad weather would be sort of stupid. I think it would be sort of nice to sit in while enjoying an outdoor concert on a pleasant (i.e., non-rainy) day.

Outdoor events=warm weather. Warm weather and animal pelts don't mix well.

Of all the interesting projects on the Miller website, I'm disappointed that this is the one you've chosen to highlight.

That would be good to soak up hairy back sweat.

Both the design and the post seem pretty tongue-in-cheek to me. Those that are offended by it really shouldn't take it too seriously.

How is it any difference from the sheepskin seat covers that some people put in their cars?
