An unexpected twist makes this seemingly plain towel bar into a bookshelf. It's the Deadgood Bookshelf, designed by Max Lamb for Deadgood.
The powder-coated steel bar has a bend in it that holds one book that acts as a bookend, rendering the rest of the bar as book storage. Available in white, black, and pink, the shelf costs about $80 USD.

This is only useful for the lightest of books, otherwise the weight of the book (combined with a dose of Earth's gravity) will cause the bar to damage the bottom of the book.
