Skagerak Teak Cutter Wardrobe

Short on closet space? This can help make up for it. The Skagerak Teak Cutter Wardrobe is an ingenious solution for additional wardrobe space or bathroom storage.

We love how the clothing rod is integrated into the slatted shelf and robe hooks are inset in the wood at the back of the shelf. This really could store your wardrobe if you didn't have a closet. Likewise, it could substitute for a coat closet. Or it makes a really ample towel shelf with robe hooks in the bathroom. It's $480 with free shipping. Confused about how this offers more storage space than a shelf with a normal rod under it. It seems only to restrict the number of places you can put hangers. Is it really that great to be able to place a few hangers sideways against the wall? $480 great?

It seems more pretty than practical to me.

Jeez, I would think that anyone who has the money to spend on such impractical storage as this would also have the cash to rent a place with spacious closets, or to purchase a nice armoire, so that the clothing would be protected from dust........

Hmm.. I agree with the comments above. It is pretty for sure, but I don't know how it qualifies as "ingenious" since it's basically a shelf with space for a few hangers. I'll pass.

I don't know, I think it's cute - would look nice in an entryway, where you don't want to hae a TON of stuff on it...I like the bench and shelf together and could picture this in the back entry of our place - a perfect spot to hang your coat, take off your shoes - and it's not loaded down with all the weight of Pottery barn type entry things. I'd buy it.

Attractive design and could look nice if you have place big enough for a "mudroom", but I agree too expensive by far and not that clever for the price.

oh I just love this. very streamlined and a great natural finish that really would look crisp in any space.

The "molger" unit at Ikea is very similar to this, especially the bench.

I just bought and received the bench. It is actually very comfortable.
