Over at Re-nest, we've been fascinated with Yale grad student Elizabeth Turnbull's tiny little house. How is she going to live in it? Does it have plumbing? Where is she going to put it? And could something like this work for us?

For a few bucks and a the cost of a can of low-VOC spray paint, Trent's got a filing cabinet that should endure for another sixty years.

Even cats like birdbaths. We like this way of making one, which is a clever reuse of those old dish-type light shades that have been standard issue in just about every house in the US.
