Edo Collection

Thos. Moser is trying to learn a new trick, and we sorta like it. This new collection, dubbed the Edo Collection, has some cool new lines and side chairs that are minimal and sporty.

There are a number of pieces in the collection, all cherry. The pic above shows the 7 foot Trestle Table and the Studio Chair.

$1425 for half of a chair. Damn, that guy is smart! ; )

Thos. Moser is the best made furniture that is out there. His board matching, construction and finishing are second to none. And you pay for it.

If I could afford it, I'd fill my home with this man's furniture.

This is nice stuff, & "Al" is quite correct regarding the quality of their work, it's the best.

Also, his pieces don't seem to be for resale very often, so people must pass them down -- they're that amazing. I covet the reclining chair I see in the window every day when I walk to the subway. *Furniture Lust*

How does this furniture compare to that of others with the same idea (e.g., Pompanosuc Mills)?

Forget the dining set. Check out that interior door in the background!

I have two Moser stools in my kitchen. They are works of art and incredibly comfortable.

Yes, very nice stuff. I think this is one of the lines desinged by his son. There's also a great coffee-table book on the company and his furniture.

ck,

Pompy is pretty good, Scott Jordan is better and Moser is best .

ck,
I may have understated Pompy's quality. They are actually very good, Scott's better and Moser is still best. Specific questions?

I attended a talk by son David in the Moser Georgetown studio Saturday. The thoughts shared showed the heart in great woodworking. I am fortunate to have six Moser pieces including the bungalow coffee and two side tables. The prices are steep but quickly forgotten. The beauty lingers.

have lots invested in several/many pieces. wish there was a resale market. @ down sizing, if my kid doesn't want it, how to unload? have seen their pieces in college waiting rooms. donate? company might help create a resale venue. it would be selling against itself, but maybe more might invest.
