Thymes Frasier Fir Candle in the Test Lab

12-19-thymes.jpgProduct: Frasier Fir Candle
Company: Thymes
Price: $27

Rating: Strong Recommend*

We are not candle people (Just wanted to get that out there), but we have totally given in to the scent of warm, woodsy Frasier Fir. Minneapolis-based Thymes creates home and beauty products emphasizing the importance of natural ingredients. After the discussion of the merits of both Real and Fake trees, we decided those whose olfactory senses yearn for the piney smell would greatly appreciate anything from Thymes' Frasier Fir Line...

Last year, we got ours at Alphabets on Avenue A. And this year, as soon as the weather got chilly we stopped in for a second. The sales staff at Alphabets says we are not alone in our love of the Frasier Fir scent — it is one of their most popular items! We always get compliments on the scent and gave a few as gifts last year.

I have the fraiser fir reed diffuser and everyone who comes into my apartment comments on how wonderful it smells.

I don't consider myself cheap at all--I'm always shopping impulsively--but isn't $27 for a candle that size a little expensive? I think the most I've spend for a candle the size of the one in the photo is about $15, and that was because the scent made my knees buckle.
