4-20-emery1.jpgWe heard about Emery & Cie from Jess, who showed off her Parisian Perch for us a few weeks back, but we had no idea how deep this river ran.

Today Jeannie told us how much she loved the color on the website and we went looking around. Wow. Smother me.

4-20--emery-why.jpgEmery & Cie is company and shop in Paris (and Europe) that specializes in lusciously colorful paint, tile, wallpaper, lighting, furniture, carpets, fabrics and tableware. The collections are entirely unique, handmade and very assorted. We particularly like the stunning embroidered sheets, the rich wallpapers, and of course the tiles.

Emery & Cie does not have a shop in NYC yet (they have a sweet note about needing to remain exclusive), BUT their older brother lives in NY and imports for them. So we're in luck.

I can vouch for the older brother. He just helped me order both wallpaper and tile samples. He is just wonderful, very kind. The tile samples arrived yesterday and are gorgeous. The shipping, though, will likely be too expensive for us to do our kitchen (we live in the DC suburbs), but the wallpaper is so reasonable! And beautiful, as the pictures show.

As a Queens resident, I love that such a stylish shop has a Queens representative. Yeah!

I'm absolutly in love with Emery and Co!! I live (in Paris) just 5 minutes away from the store and want to buy everything in. I found there some...(what's the right word?)door's lug, knob (?) soooo beautiful in many colors, and i've found some very beautiful "abajours" en verre... When i'll be very rich, i'll make an entire wall with their tiles that are incredible!!
