Mesquite Tile from Ann Sacks

12-22-sacks.jpg

Warm up your walls with Mesquite tiles from Ann Sacks. The tiles come in 4x4, 8x8, and 2x8 and are made of mesquite, a dense wood ideal for use as a tile. There are three finishes available: natural, natural with UV protection, and walnut.

This reminds us of that great wall just inside the Natrona Furniture showroom on 20th Street. The organic quality of the tiles would look great in stark contrast to an otherwise minimal interior.

i was JUST in Ann Sacks yesterday and i saw this tile. it was right next to the new Medina line (beautiful handmade moroccan? tiles) they had. The Mesquite tiles were absolutely GORGEOUS! I keep going back and forth between the wood and the mosaic tiles. if i could have it my way, i'd fancy a handcut wood mosaic tile.

i love wood!

This would be great in an office. I wonder if it would act as an acoustic barrier? Isn't wood supposed to be good as soundproofing? I also loved the leather tiles on the Anne Sacks site - very warm and inviting, in both the leather and the mesquite.
