We love it when a local artist gets national attention, so we were pretty excited to see that work by one of our favorite San Francisco artists, Rare Device co-owner Lisa Congdon, was now available through PBteen.
We love it when a local artist gets national attention, so we were pretty excited to see that work by one of our favorite San Francisco artists, Rare Device co-owner Lisa Congdon, was now available through PBteen.
The wall panels, "Tall Vine" and "Short Stalk" have Lisa's mixed media images screen printed onto stretched poly-cotton canvas, and each measure 15" x 30".
Available for $99 each, or buy both for $189, from PBteen.
I think this is somethign that could be way more easily accomplished as a tv-watching project (and for less than $20) with:
- 2 blank canvasses
- scrapbooking paper of varying patterns
- scissors
- mod podge
- black poster paint
cute, but i wouldn't spend the money on it

Congratulations, Lisa! She does excellent work, and I'm honored to have one of her originals at home.

I got two originals on Etsy for a just a little more than that, but they're unique art, so it was worth it.

There is starting to be an "Esty style" of art now that folks on this site really seem to like. Very illustrative and pattern-y.

v. cool. think it had something to do with their very talented former design director jennifer jones (who also owns sf's candystore collective). unfortunately she just left pb teen. wonder what cool thing she'll do next?!
