Eclectic. There were so many things we loved about last week's House Call: Diana Fayt. The San Francisco artist's home is warm, welcoming, comfortable. There's a really wonderful, eclectic mix of old and new. One thing that caught our eye was the simple, white wooden shelf and bracket in this photo...
It's similar to the shelves and brackets in this office (featured in our Creative Offices in Sweden post). Those look to us like they're STILIG Brackets from IKEA and wooden shelves, painted white. Simple, and very nice.

Funny, I was thinking about those two pictures today (actually thought they'd come from the same post) and wondering when I'd have time to put some in my bedroom. I'm lucky enough to have a wood panelling situation like those creative Swedes. :)

Actually those look more like the Valter brackets. I have been wanting those for years, they're very similar to open shelving I see in Swedish dwellings and are the ones used in this favorite pic from Domino.
