Oh, my gosh, just imagine the themed planting you could do! A base of trailing rosemary, topped by a hedge of lavender. Or a wall of basil, topped by a few tomatoes. Or alyssum, with an ever-changing array of annuals on top. Or strawberries, with mint on top. Or chard and salad greens, with peppers on top. Or ...
