The Worm Bench is just plain fun.
Nine feet long and brilliant green, the Worm Bench is made of ultra-light MDF. It's segmented so that it can be moved around according to the user's whims; it can be used as a bench, on which people sit close together, or further apart, or even as a chaise.
Designed by Michael Ryan of R+D Design, it was inspired by a trip to the Museum of Natural History in New York. The R+D website says that "The Bench marks a return to nature, playfulness, motion, and interaction reminiscent of childhood toys. "

Saw that on the Dwell show (on Fine Living); pretty neat.
