Wow. Just how amazing is this recycled aluminum tile backsplash? (And don't miss the other one below the jump.)
Wow. Just how amazing is this recycled aluminum tile backsplash? (And don't miss the other one below the jump.)

Available in several finishes and sizes starting at 2"x2".
Prices start at $35 per sq. ft. for 100% recycled aluminum tiles, $70 per sq. ft. for 100% recycled brass tiles.
(And guess what? You can clean them with mild dish soap and water.)
pretty...and pretty pricey

I just wish recycled things didn't cost twice as much as new.

I agree with nazrd. I really want to use recycled glass tiles or something like this but it is so expensive. It doesn't really make sense since the materials needed were effectly what would have been garbage. Ugh.

Would tin ceiling panels work as a backsplash? I think the cost averages $5 per sq foot.

They're also here:

I sent that in on May 9th. I think I must have sent it via the tip or something. I don't think those e-mails get read.
Or maybe it's just mine that don't get read.
I'll be over here pouting.

true blue--site appears to require a login (which i'm not willing to do), so that might have something to do w/why it wasn't posted.
carla marie--my concern with the tin ceiling panels is that the seem pretty flimsy to me. maybe i just strong-arm things, but i'm fairly confident that they'd dent fairly easily when cleaning them.
