I agree with nazrd. I really want to use recycled glass tiles or something like this but it is so expensive. It doesn't really make sense since the materials needed were effectly what would have been garbage. Ugh.

Would tin ceiling panels work as a backsplash? I think the cost averages $5 per sq foot.

true blue--site appears to require a login (which i'm not willing to do), so that might have something to do w/why it wasn't posted.

carla marie--my concern with the tin ceiling panels is that the seem pretty flimsy to me. maybe i just strong-arm things, but i'm fairly confident that they'd dent fairly easily when cleaning them.
