Reading yesterday's Chron article about the moss garden surrounding Saiho-ji temple in Kyoto reminded us of this moss container garden we snapped a few weeks ago in NYC.
It was a hot, muggy New York day and we were missing San Fran weather. This cooling vision (the window display of an elegant jewelry shop called Stoa) stopped us in our tracks. Cultivating a moss container garden had never occured to us, but clearly it's do-able.
