apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

I use one of these in my studio apartment, and I got it at Target!

The only thing about this is that I don't like to have my dirty clothes next to my clean.

1. ok, seriously...I think that may be smaller than anything I've ever seen except my college dorm room (made smaller by living under the eaves). Any guesses at to the sq. ft.?

2. couldn't she at least have made her bed?

3. what could she do "decorate"?

I love her blog -- it's a hilarious read.

I've seen the same thing at the Dollar store for $1. Mesh bag and metal hanger, its not flimsy or anything.

Wouldn't that make your cleans clothes smell all stinky?

I use mine for scarves, etc. I don't use it for laundry, I agree with some others here, it's kind of gross

I loved Elyse and she totally should have won! :) And wow that is a small apartment.

I use the exact same kind of thing in my kids' closet, except our is a bit sturdier - it's made of a tan-colored cotton fabric,with a zipper as the bottom seam so the clothes fall out when you unzip it. We got it at Kmart or Target, don't remember which.

I don't like the idea of the dirties next to the cleans either, but the kids' closet has toy storage on one side, so I hang it there.

You can also use an over-the-door hook (a fairly sturdy one) and hang it on the back of the door. Only useful if you do laundry fairly often I would suppose.

I have two bags like that hanging in my closet, but I use one for clean socks and one for clean undies. my dresser only has enough room for pants and shirts.

Does this beat Jack's apartment?
