Mebel Furniture's website says, "Modern life is about simplifying our surroundings and demanding value and functionality in the things we use." Their furniture exemplifies this belief. The pieces are beautiful, well-made, and versatile. Each piece is unique, and shows its irregularities and variations.
The company's a partnership between Jacek Ostoya, an architect, and his brother-in-law, Peter Brayshaw, a woodworker and artist. While the design studio is in San Francisco, production actually takes place in Connecticut.
This is definitely not your flat-pak furniture, and it's priced accordingly. Prices range from $1,286-$9,492.

What a HORRIFIC website (Mebel, that is). Yuck. And if I'm paying $3500 for a bench, it better by "multi-function," alright. Like cooking dinner, cleaning the toilet, doing laundry, etc.
