modernbamboologo8-28.jpgModern Bamboo makes just a few products. But those few products are amazing in their simplicity and craftsmanship, as well as the fact that they're ecologically sound design.

modernbamboo8-28.jpgAnthony Marschak became interested in bamboo while developing a prototype for the first bamboo skateboard. He and Sean Jenkins then formed Adapt Design, which creates custom cabinetry and other items. And out of Adapt Design came Modern Bamboo.

Modern Bamboo has partnered with Smith & Fong Plyboo, and uses only their high quality bamboo. It's then made without parts or fasteners into pieces that are functional, but beautiful in a simple, minimalist way.

The Becca Stool (above) is made in a factory in Michigan that specializes in tapered lamination.

The Game Table's top is made in Michigan at the same factory as the Noguchi table. The wood actually goes through the 3/4"-thick glass.

We blogged the Spring Chair here. The strength and flexibility of the bamboo creates a natural flex in the chair's simple ergonomic design.
