Are you going to the show? Opening this evening, Portland's Show2008 is a curated biennial exhibit of innovative and functional furniture design, featuring local designers.

According to the website, Show 2008 will feature 40 examples of unusual and stimulating furniture design and provide designers/fabricators/makers with a place for peer and public recognition and dialogue. Jury members from the fields of architecture, art, fabrication, and design will recognize the merit of the entries with awards including Best In Show.
Show2008 also provides one of the first opportunities for the public to view Portland State University's remodeled Shattuck Hall. The LEED space, home to the Department of Architecture, features ceiling mounted radiant heating and cooling, enhanced day-lighting and an open plan studio.
