Flora Grubb is a sprawling gardening store that manages to feel more like a walk through a secret garden than a trip to one of those typical chain stores. We always come away with a ton of ideas for recreating our little balcony into a lush paradise, and we think that is in large part due to the beauty of the place - it oozes inspiration.

Not only are there tons of great, climate appropriate plants, but they've got a great selection of outdoor furniture (including one of our favorites, Fermob) and other home design items, as well.

Outdoors blends fluidly with indoors, where you can find an outpost of Ritual coffee - yum. Sip your cup and check out some the books available on landscaping and gardening if you need some help visualizing your ideal outdoor space.

Despite the journey to get there (and yeah, we go by public transportation so it's no cake walk) we always leave feeling refreshed, clutching a happy little plant, and already planning our next trip.
