If you're looking for home design magazines, Fog City News is the place to go.
Located in the Financial District, Fog City News has more magazines than any other store in the Bay Area. Their foreign publication section has over 700 periodicals from 25 countries -- including the wonderful British magazine Living Etc. That alone makes it worth the trip.
I'm rating it "affordable" rather than "deluxe" because $8 for a candy bar falls under "affordable luxuries." The $8 candy bars here are way more exciting than the similarly priced chocolate at Macy's... and there's a frequent indulgers card that yields some kind of discount or freebie eventually.

I just want to make sure everyone knows that FCN has thousands of magazines--not just over 700. It seems small when you walk in but if you see how many racks there are and how the mags are displayed, well, it adds up.
