I bought high-end brushed stainless 2x2 mosiac tiles -- enough for an oversize shower -- at a good price on eBay. Still, it was an expensive deal.

The tiles are actually ceramic with metal formed over each one -- very heavy. They looked fab installed but it didn't take long to realize how difficult it was to keep them spotless, even wiping them down post-shower before I even dried myself. Everyday they looked a little shabbier.

Fast forward a couple of months -- ripped them out. I can't bear to add up what the whole thing cost me and just consider it one of my more stunning errors in judgment.
